Waratah Hills Coming to Town to launch 2014 Wines
Waratah Hills Vineyard is thrilled to announce that we are launching our award winning 2014 wines at the first dedicated Australian Sub-Zero and Wolf Showroom in the historic Bank House, in the heart of the Melbourne CBD. Waratah Hills 2014 Pinot Noir was awarded a gold medal with a point score of 95 at the 10th annual Gippsland Wine Show. The Chardonnay was also amongst the medal winners receiving a bronze and a point score of 87. Sub-Zero and Wolf products are arguably the best in the world of kitchen appliances and the company has continued to innovate and push the boundaries of technical advancement and superior aesthetic throughout its 70-year history. The iconic refrigeration and cooking equipment is famous around the world and can be found in the homes of internationally famous chefs (think Heston Blumenthal, Nigella Lawson and Jamie Oliver), and celebrities (Sir Elton John and Madonna). We are also delighted to have award winning food writer and author Richard Cornish host the evening. Richard is The Age Epicure’s Brain Food writer and will share his passion for food and wine. Waratah Hills winemaker Marcus Satchell will also be joining us. Born and bred in South Gippsland, his natural and intuitive approach to winemaking has resulted in many trophy and medal winning wines. When Marcus isn’t making wine he is judging buy xanax at some of Australia’s top wine shows. Waratah Hills Vineyard is nestled in the rolling green hills of the Hoddle Ranges and is located near Wilsons Promontory, the southernmost point on the Australian mainland. It is the perfect location for growing the classic cool-climate varieties of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
