2013 Waratah Hills Pinot Noir
Waratah Hills Pinot Noir 2013
Award: 86 points at the 2014 Gippsland Wine Show
This wine is carefully selected from our own un-irrigated vineyard, which is planted to multiple clones at the close spacing of 9000 vines/ha. Aged in French Oak for 11 months, and bottled without fining or filtration. This elegant Pinot Noir displays typical characters of our site – spice, cherries and earth. 2013 was characterised by its warm dry summer. Although warm, the cool sea breezes that enter our vineyard, extended the ripening period a lot longer than most vineyards in the region. Expect a lightly framed Pinot, quite feminine in character, however the wine has excellent length of flavour.
We are a little bias by our 2013 Pinot Noir is drinking beautifully.
