Picnic Red 2019

An all rounder, our Picnic Red is designed to suit all occasions, plates, and palates. Made from Sangiovese grapes that come from the Yarra Valley, this easy-drinking red wine has a nice savoury feel when at room temp and gets a little bit juicier when chilled.

A crowd pleaser, it’s a great “thank you for having me” gift, a universal dinner drop to take to friends’ houses, or something to enjoy in private company.

Tasting Notes: Bright ruby red in appearance. The nose is aromatic with a range of berry fruits jostling for attention whilst a hint of cocoa and dusty drown earth sit in the background. The palate is medium weight with a savoury tannin profile that drinks well with or without food. The acidity adds a cranberry like freshness. The finish is balanced and long with a lingering succulence.

Serve: As a versatile red. Maybe with an antipasto platter, at a BBQ, with meaty pasta dishes, or your favourite burger. Maybe on its own. Maybe chilled. Maybe however you like.
